Offshore Oscar’s results for September 13-14, 2008

Fans of scoreless draws were besides themselves with joy as a late penalty try for Getafe in Spain went off the crossbar to preserve the double goose egg while killing one of our parlay plays. Still, we more or less broke even this weekend, so it could have been much worse.

The weekend’s Offshore Oscar results:

1 – West Brom came through with a late goal to pull ahead for good 3-2 against the Hammers.

2 – Newcastle United looked good at the beginning and end of their match against Hull City, but it didn’t even add up to enough for a draw, much less a win, as they went down 2-1. Chelsea easily won the other half of that parlay against Man City with a final of 3-1, but that wager was already dead.

Bet: 40

3 – Lazio did their part with a 2-0 win against Sampdoria, but Getafe couldn’t get anything actually inside the goal as they had to settle with a scoreless draw against Real Betis.
