Offshore Oscar’s picks for November 25 and 26
By: Offshore Oscar | November 24th, 2008
My use of voodoo dolls had mixed results, so I don’t know what to think. Inter came through, but the shortest price on my 3-team parlay couldn’t even manage a draw, and Athletico Madrid managed to give up an equalizer in the 94th minute. WTF? I didn’t even know there was a 94th minute, and even though I didn’t see it, I’m pretty sure that stoppage time penalty they called was bullshit.
Original bankroll: 1,000 units
Current bankroll: 980 units
This week’s Offshore Oscar plays:
1 – Looks like Aalborg and Celtic are fighting it out for a UEFA spot in Group E. Celtic are not the same team when they play outside of Britain, and the Danes will want to please their home crowd.
2 – Even though they are in last place in Group E, Werder Bremen are poised to leapfrog Anthorosis and Panathinaikos in the final two matches. The Germans know that if they can pull out a win in Cyprus, they will most likely be facing an Inter team that would have already clinched first place.
30-unit Champions League win parlay AaB Aalborg at 2.62 into Werder Bremen at 2.05 (so if they both win we get back 30 x 2.62 x 2.05 = 161 units)
