Brazil – Chile World Cup qualifiers

By: blackjack | September 7th, 2008

In one of the most exciting World Cup qualifying matches this weekend, 6th ranked Brazil will face 40th ranked Chile in Santiago. The match is set to start in roughly one hour and as we’ve seen with others this weekend, the odds have moved quite a bit since first being set.

Chile 13/5
Draw 11/5
Brazil 10/11
Under 2.5 goals 4/5
Over 2.5 goals 10/11

The Chilean squad, led by Humberto Suazo, know a victory over the likes of Ronaldinho and Robinho will put them in very good position to advance to the World Cup and will have 70,000 plus supporters in attendance.

I’d like to feel comfortable saying Brazil will dominate, but seeing other matches and the upsets, I’m going for a 1-1 draw.

mele – great to see you back again for this match.

The “under” certainly was very strong yesterday. I’m more on the over for this match but the odd aren’t that good on either side. I’m going to keep a close watch for “in-play” to see if anything opens up.

So since you and I are the only ones watching this match this morning (or night depending on where you are) lets see how this turns out.

Hard to believe Chile couldn’t get anything from this game. But Ronaldinho seems to have had a resurgence since leaving Barca. Bad news for everyone who isn’t Brazil. http://eurosoccerdaily.com
