Thanks to a couple late goals, a great performance by West Ham goalie Robert Green, and my new favorite officiating crew, the Hammers were unbeatable on the day, with 4-1 showing on the board in the end. Keira Knightley is almost as happy as I am over the win.

Hapless Portsmouth is hapless no more as the tourists thrashed Everton 3-0. I should have known “bettor” than to think that Harry Redknapp would let Pompey go with zero points from the first three matches, and I might have overestimated the Toffees.

Juventus looked good until it was time to run the clock out with a one-man advantage, but they let the win slip away and had to settle for a 1-1 tie.
