Paraguay – Venezuela World Cup qualifying match
By: blackjack | September 8th, 2008Later today, Paraguay has a golden opportunity to advance their World Cup hopes as they face Venezuela in Asunción Paraguay.
Gerardo Martino’s Paraguay squad has won all three home matches, allowing only one goal while scoring three and will play very aggressive at home. This past Saturday La Albirroja fought to a close 1-1 draw against Argentina in Buenos Aires, without the services of Roque Santa Cruz and Salvador Cabanas, however both are expected back tonight. On the same night Venezuela lost 1-0 to Peru in a very close match where they created numerous opportunities but could find the finishing touch.
