Offshore Oscar’s picks for December 6 and 7, 2008
By: Offshore Oscar | December 5th, 2008
Posting pictures of hot chicks alongside my picks supposedly for “good luck” has been a disaster. It feels like I haven’t hit a bet in ages. What do you have against me, hot-chick photos? What the hell did I ever do to you? Okay, better not answer that one. I’m going to tempt fate and try another one, “for good luck.”

This weekend’s Offshore Oscar plays:
1 – EPL Saturday-afternoon draw parlay – Draws are not a sexy bet, but we have been burned by draws numerous times this season. Hull, Middlesbrough, Newcastle and Stoke City are all middle-table teams who have been playing mediocre football lately. These two matches could easily be 0-0 or 1-1, so let’s parlay them both.
20-unit draw parlay – Hull-Boro at 3.30 into Newcastle-Stoke at 3.50 (so if these games both end in draws we get back 20 x 3.30 x 3.50 = 231 units)
2 – Althletico Madrid and Sporting Gijon have been good to us so far, but Athletico is the stronger squad and still have a great shot at Europe. They should come out victorious at El Molinon.
50-units on Athletico Madrid to win at 2.15 (so a win gets us back 107.5 units)
3 – Palermo looked fantastic last Sunday at home when they crushed AC Milan. They go island hopping this weekend to Sardinia to face Cagliari. The boys in black and pink should press their hosts from the opening whistle and get the 3 points.
30 units on Palermo to win at 2.75 (so a win gets us back 82.5 units)

Oh, and congratulations to Allinsoccer for correctly predicting the Brough-Newcastle draw last week. It’s good to know someone out there has got this thing figured out. I don’t mind being humiliated, so feel free to post your own opinions in the comments. Who’ll be Theoffside’s Next Top Betting Columnist?
